Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Homeschool HQ. By creating an account, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. The service

Homeschool HQ lets you log everyday home education activities and turns them into curriculum-matched compliance reports, narrative progress reports, and family keepsakes. It's a record-keeping and reporting tool — it doesn't decide what you teach, and it doesn't guarantee that any state or territory authority will accept a report generated by the service.

2. Your account

• You must be an adult (18+) to create an account.
• You're responsible for keeping your login details secure, and for all activity that happens under your account.
• You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter — Homeschool HQ organises and reports on what you log, but it can't verify that it's true or complete.

3. Subscriptions & billing

• Plans are billed by family size, either monthly or annually.
• New monthly subscribers get 50% off their first month. Annual subscribers get 2 months free instead of the monthly discount. These offers can't be combined.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancelling stops future billing but doesn't refund the current billing period unless we say otherwise.
• We may change our prices, with notice to existing subscribers in advance.

4. Your content

You own the log entries, photos, and notes you add to Homeschool HQ. By using the service, you give us permission to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you — for example, matching it to curriculum codes and generating your reports. We don't use your content to train AI models, and we don't share it with anyone outside the providers listed in our Privacy Policy.

5. AI-generated content

Narrative progress reports are drafted with the help of AI, based on the log entries you write. Like any AI-generated text, it can occasionally get details wrong. Review your reports before relying on them or submitting them anywhere official.

6. Acceptable use

Please don't use Homeschool HQ to store or upload content you don't have the right to use, to attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the service, or to use the reports it generates to knowingly submit false information to any authority.

7. Termination

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. If your account is terminated for breach, you may lose access to your data — where possible, we'll give you notice first so you can export your records.

8. Disclaimer & liability

Homeschool HQ is provided "as is". We work hard to keep curriculum mappings and reports accurate, but we don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accepted by any specific authority. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits any consumer guarantee that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know directly. Continuing to use Homeschool HQ after changes take effect means you accept them.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
